In practice

We work actively to keep our environmental impact to a minimum, by reducing energy and water consumption and carefully controlling waste through recycling. Our compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards is an important enabler of our efforts to improve our environmental performance through continuously more efficient use of resources.

Net zero carbon emissions

In line with World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Commitment, RMI Pressure Systems has committed to achieve net zero carbon by the year 2030 in our buildings and facilities around the world. Our initiatives include the generation of solar energy at our Manchester facilities, installation of automated LED lighting, installation of fast close roller shutter doors, monitoring/reduction of utility resources, waste strategy with an emphasis on reduction, reuse and recycling, installation of EV charging points and bike shelters to name but a few.

Community and staff wellness

RMI prioritises its people and the communities in which we operate. We aim to promote values that empower staff, and our training programmes develop skills and expertise as well as broader personal achievement.

We also offer our staff a program of well being initiatives which include health advice clinics for both physical and mental health, an annual vaccine program as well as access to advice on financial planning and pensions.

We also encourage our staff to propose and get involved with charity and community projects which the company also contributes to.

Sustainable solutions

Our quality products and systems are designed to give customers greater efficiency and lifespan, to control total cost of ownership while reducing the resources consumed. This relates not only to energy and water used during operation, but to the materials used in construction and the replacement components. The engineering quality of our manufacturing process, combined with genuine spare parts and maintenance support, extends the life of our equipment and reduces wastage.
